About coaching
What is coaching?
Coaching supports you to unlock your potential and achieve personal and professional success.
Coaching:
- Is tailored and personalised to you;
- Supports you to identify and develop your strengths;
- Provides a safe environment to explore obstacles that might be blocking your success;
- Involves questioning techniques to help you understand your thought processes, to identify solutions and actions; and,
- Employs a variety of tools including clarification, brainstorming and planning to help you uncover solutions that will work for you.
Is coaching right for me and will it work?
Coaching will work for you if you’re –
- Committed to your development;
- Ready and willing to make changes to how you think, feel and act;
- Prepared to intentionally design your life and career;
- Ready to realise your version of success.
Coaching will support you to achieve whatever it is you’re striving for but it’s not a quick fix. It requires investment of your time and effort to do the work. If you’re not willing to commit to your personal development, coaching will not be of benefit to you.
Things to consider when you’re selecting a coach
Coaching is currently an unregulated industry. This means that anyone can claim to be a coach. You should keep this in mind when considering working with a coach. I recommend asking questions about their qualifications, knowledge and experience. Assure yourself they’re the right person to support you in any change or transition you want to make. I offer all potential and new clients a complimentary introductory video-call, providing the opportunity for us to meet in person and for you to ask any questions you might have prior to commencing a coaching relationship. You can read more about my background, experience and qualifications here.
Things to consider when making an investment in coaching
Some people find it difficult to justify investment in coaching services. If this is something that’s on your mind, I’d ask you to think about what it’s costing you to continue feeling stuck, confused or frustrated? How long have you felt that way? How many times have considered making a change and then hoping things would work out?
Clients will often say they believe what they get from coaching they should be able to do by themselves. In part, this is true, because from coaching you can learn useful and repeatable tools and techniques to help yourself. But when you’re feeling really stuck or confused, you’re unlikely to be able to challenge yourself with complete objectivity and without judgement.
Without exception, clients find that working with a coach achieves clarity and confidence far quicker than they would have expected or hoped. You are your own greatest asset. Surely that’s worth investing in?

About working with me
What happens at a Virtual Coffee Chat?
It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and assured about the commitment and investment you’ll be making into a coaching relationship. An information 20 minute coffee chat provides both of us with the opportunity to ask questions, to get clear about your needs and how I can help you. This call is complimentary and you’re under no obligation to proceed with any of my programs after the call.
My personal coaching philosophy
I offer support to those who are feeling stuck, stalled or at a crossroads in their working lives. You’ve realised it’s time to do things differently but are not sure where or how to start. I believe that by uncovering who you are, what you’re great at and what you want, you can create a plan for achieving personal and professional success.
My role as a coach is to work collaboratively with you to:
- Draw out and articulate your expertise through questioning, clarifying and gentle challenges;
- Discover your motivations, uncover your values and create a personal inventory of your strengths, skills, experience, knowledge and needs;
- Define a vision of what you’d like to achieve and set intentions you can live by; and,
- Develop a plan and create steps towards your vision.
Where does the coaching take place?
I’m based in Melbourne, Australia but I run all coaching sessions online via Zoom videoconference. By the wonderful power of the internet, this means I’m available to coach clients located anywhere in the world. We can discuss a suitable regular time slot during our intro chat.
What are your qualifications?
I have more than 20 years finance and marketing leadership experience with major UK and Australian companies. I’m a accredited Intention MethodTM coach and I hold Master of Marketing (RMIT), Bachelor of Economics (University of Queensland) and Cert IV in Training and Assessment (Victoria University) qualifications. I’ve blended my decades of professional experience with coaching skills to develop practical, evidence-based career design solutions.
About my programs
What if I’m not happy. Can I get a refund?
If you experience a change of circumstances after you’ve signed up and prior to the end of our first session and you wish to walk away from the program, I’ll provide a full refund.
No refunds are available after the end of the first 1-1 coaching session.
What will I achieve by the end of the program?

Ideally you’ll spend a couple of extra hours each week to work through activities or actions we discuss in our sessions.

I don’t live in Australia, can I still work with you?
Absolutely. If you are not in Australia, your price for the program will not include Australia’s 10% GST.
